Description

Happy birthday Skia!

The fox you see in the picture is Skia's old character Cinnamon. I find him very interesting and when looking through all the beautiful  drawings of him I recognize that same expression. He always seems to look sad or paranoid. Such an interesting personality, it makes me curious about the character.

I would type a paragraph about how much you inspire me and how much your artwork has pushed me into discovering my own characters. I am not good with words though so I hope a drawing will make up for that. :)

I have to say one other thing though. A certain drawing of yours just...i don't know how to explain it but atmosphere is something I aim to be able to create and then this drawing just, stands out. The way you scroll down into that dark street and then suddenly you see two circular white eyes, then you scroll down further and see that fox almost falling. I keep looking at it because i honestly believe that that drawing has to be one of my favourite ever drawings i've seen. Your style continues to amaze me.

The picture is made with watercolours and coloured pencil.

Oh, God.

Cinnamon. Cinnamon.

He is one of my dearest beings I ever met – and looking at your picture...i fail to find the right words, again.

...back then, I always wished I could express his very esssence in a picture, but i didn't manage it.

You did. Expression, composition, the urban atmosphere, the title – it's perfect and you have no idea how touched, how happy I am to see him, drawn by you.

You described him perfectly. (...and I can see a trace of Panicle on his head ; ) ) Great!)

It's about time for me to draw him again – you gave me motivation to do it.

Thank you. It means a lot to me. More than words could express.

One may say „Oh, nothing more than stories about foxes/animals“ - wrong. It's more, so much more. Not everyone understands – but that isn't even important.

I'm proud and I feel honoured that they came to me to tell their story, and I'm happy that I can inspire other people by telling their stories again.

And...thank you for your words.

Yes...that picture. Perhaps it's the one which describes the tenor of my stories the best.

I'm happy that it impressed you so much, I really really am.

And now I stop babbling.

Thank you again, dear Lossen.
